This chapter shall be known as the "Trespassing and Public Urinating and Defecating Ordinance of the Town of Bedford," for the prevention of trespass to public and private property and to prevent urination and defecation in public places.

A. 
A person who intrudes upon any lot or parcel of private land within the bounds of the Town of Bedford, exclusive of that portion lying within the bounds of the Incorporated Village of Mount Kisco, without authority from the owner thereof, or who erects or occupies thereon any structure whatever without such authority, and a person who places, erects or occupies within the bounds of any public property any structure without lawful authority is guilty of an offense.
B. 
No person shall urinate or defecate in any public place. For purposes of this section, the term "public place" shall mean any highway, street, alley, sidewalk, park, playground, parking area or lot, shopping center, public building, transportation facility, school, mall, hallways, lobbies or other portions of apartment houses or hotels not constituting rooms or apartments designed for actual residence or any other public facility or ground, whether vacant or improved, or any other place to which the public or substantial group of persons has access, but excluding restrooms.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a violation and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine not to exceed the sum of $250 and/or imprisonment for no more than 15 days, or both.
