As used in this article, the following terms
shall have the meanings indicated.
FALSE FIRE ALARM
Any alarm for which there is no evidence of smoke or fire
or for which there is evidence of any equipment failure or evidence
of inadvertence on the part of any property owner, agents, servants
and employees and which registers in or is called into the Police
Department with a fire company responding to the location of the alarm.
In the case of a false fire alarm, any person having knowledge thereof shall immediately notify the Police Department. In addition, in the case of false fire alarms, the Fire Official shall cause an investigation to be made and keep a record of such alarms on file. The Fire Official shall be empowered to issue a Municipal Court summons in accordance with §
132-27.
