There shall be a Division of Tax Assessment,
the head of which shall be the Tax Assessor. His or her compensation
shall be upon the terms and provisions of the Salary Ordinance of
the Township.
The Township Tax Assessor shall have a bachelor's
degree from a recognized college or university or have a minimum of
five years' experience in a Municipal Tax Assessor's office and shall
have those qualifications as otherwise provided for by applicable
law.
The Tax Assessor shall have those duties and
responsibilities provided by statute, and any rule or regulation thereunder,
and responsibilities imposed upon the Tax Assessor by applicable law
and shall perform such other duties and responsibilities as the Mayor
or Business Administrator may designate, to the extent permitted by
law.
