A certain document, three copies of which are on file in the office
of the Secretary of the Township of West Hanover, being marked and designated
as the "International Plumbing Code, 2000 Edition," as published by the International
Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the code of the Township of West
Hanover for regulating design, construction, quality of materials, erection,
installation, alteration, repair, relocation, replacement, addition to, use
or maintenance of plumbing systems in the Township of West Hanover and providing
for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and each and
all of the regulations, provisions, conditions and terms of such International
Plumbing Code, 2000 Edition, published by the International Code Council on
file in the office of the Township of West Hanover, are hereby referred to,
adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this chapter.
The following sections are hereby revised as follows:
Section 101.1

Insert: "West Hanover Township."

Section 106.6.2

Insert: Fee Schedule: A fee for each plan examination, building permit
and inspection for new construction and additions, the moving of buildings,
demolition of buildings and the erection of signs shall be paid in accordance
with a schedule of fees which shall be established by resolution of the Board
of Supervisors of West Hanover Township and shall be subject to change by
resolution of said Board from time to time.

Section 301.4(A)

Insert: Public systems available: A public water main or public sewer
system shall be considered to be available to the structure where the structure
is located within 150 feet of the public water main or sewer.

Section 305.6.1
|
Insert: Building sewers that connect to private sewage disposal systems
shall be a minimum of 36 inches below finished grade at the point of septic
tank connection. Building sewers shall be a minimum of 36 inches below grade.

Nothing in this chapter or in the Plumbing Code hereby adopted shall
be construed to affect any suit or proceeding impending in any court, or any
rights acquired, or liability incurred, or any cause or causes of action acquired
or existing, under any act or ordinance; nor shall any just or legal right
or remedy of any character be lost, impaired or affected by this chapter.
Any person who shall violate any provisions of this chapter shall, upon
conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a finenot exceeding $1,000. Each day
that a violation continues beyond the date fixed for compliance shall constitute
a separate offense. It is further provided that, upon judgment
against any person by summary conviction, or by proceedings by summons on
default of payment of the fine or penalty imposed and the costs, the defendant
maybe sentenced and committed to the county prison for a period not exceeding
30 days.
