Pursuant to Subdivision 1 of § 405.00
of the Penal Law of the State of New York, the Mayor is hereby designated
the "permit authority" to grant and issue permits for the public display
of fireworks in accordance with the provisions of § 405.00
of the Penal Law.

Except as otherwise provided, any violation of any provision
of this chapter shall constitute a violation pursuant to the Penal
Law; provided, however, that in no case shall the fine set annually
by resolution of the Board of Trustees.[1]
