It shall be unlawful for any person to suffer or permit one or more cattle, horses, colts, asses, mules, swine, sheep or goats to run at large or to be herded or pastured in a public place, highway, park or place in the Town of Cortlandt.

A violation of the preceding section is hereby declared to be a violation. Any person violating said section shall be guilty of a violation and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine not to exceed $250 or up to 15 days in jail or by a civil penalty not exceeding $1,000.
