The Village of Potsdam shall contain on and after the effective date of this article, in addition to the territory theretofore contained within its boundaries, the following described territory, to wit:
A. 
All that tract or parcel of land, situate in the Town of Potsdam, County of St. Lawrence and State of New York, being part of Mile Square No. 38 in the Town of Potsdam, bounded and described as follows: Beginning at a point on the westerly highway boundary of New York State Route No. 56 (Potsdam-Norwood State Highway) (Norwood Road) (Union Road), said point standing at the intersection of the westerly highway boundary of New York State Route No. 56 with the northerly boundary of John D. Elmer and Morris Pinto (now or formerly), as described in a Warranty Deed dated September 26, 1988, and filed in the St. Lawrence County Clerk's office Liber 1022 of Deeds at Page 1124, the northerly boundary of John D. Elmer and Morris Pinto being further described as the southerly highway boundary of Country Lane (Pest House Road); thence from said Point of Beginning, N 00°28'11"W 158.52 feet along the westerly boundary of New York State Route No. 56 to a point; thence S58°14'56"W 275.08 feet to a point; thence S57°39'11"W 158.30 feet to an iron rod standing on the southerly boundary of lands of Lloyd Vienneau (now or formerly); thence S55°18'00"W 591.84 feet along the southerly boundary of the lands of Lloyd Vienneau to an iron rod standing on the westerly boundary of lands of Lloyd Vienneau (now or formerly), as described in a Bargain and Sale Deed dated October 25, 2000, and filed in the St. Lawrence County Clerk's office in instrument number –00021295; thence N33°31'12"W 562.21 feet along the westerly boundary of lands of Lloyd Vienneau (now or formerly) to a point standing on the southerly boundary of lands of Lloyd Vienneau; thence S74°44'59"W 670.75 feet along the southerly boundary of lands of Lloyd Vienneau to an iron pin standing on the easterly boundary of the lands of the New York Central Lines LLC (now or formerly) (Rome, Watertown and Ogdensburg Railroad - formerly); thence S18°23'35"W 193.49 feet along the easterly boundary of the lands of the New York Central Lines LLC to an iron pin standing on a curve to the left; thence southerly 990.00 feet along said curve, aforementioned curve to the left continuing along the easterly boundary of the lands of the New York Central lines LLC with a radius of 4347.56 feet and a central angle of 13°02'49", to an iron rod standing on the northerly boundary of Scott D. Tulloch (now or formerly) to an iron rod standing on the westerly boundary of DeLoris Tooly (now or formerly); thence N00°17'00"W 299.75 feet along the westerly boundary of DeLoris Tooly, the westerly boundary of Durward L. Thomas (now or formerly) and then along the westerly boundary of Hilda J. Nichols to an iron rod standing on the westerly highway boundary of New York State Route No. 56; thence N 00°17'00"W 750.37 feet along the westerly highway boundary of New York State Route No. 56 to a point; thence N63°12"31"W 26.54 feet continuing along the westerly highway boundary of New York State Route No. 56 to a point; thence N00°13"35"E 51.00 feet to a concrete monument; thence N30°17'42"E 45.56 feet to an iron rod; thence N00°17'00"W 108.17 feet still along the westerly highway boundary of New York State Route No. 56 to the Point of Beginning.
B. 
The above described parcel containing 72.317 acres (3,150,115.8 sq. ft.) of land, more or less.
The territory described in § 7-25 of this article is hereby annexed to the Village of Potsdam pursuant to the provisions of § 714 of the General Municipal Law.
The annexation of the above territory described in § 7-25 of this article shall become effective on the third of December 2007.
