GENERAL REFERENCES
Fire prevention — See Ch. 30.
Pursuant to Article 11-A of the Town Law, the Patchogue Fire District
was created in November 1997. Said Fire District encompasses and will provide
firematic services to the territory formerly encompassed by the East Patchogue
Fire Protection District. Pursuant to Article 11 of the Town Law, the East
Patchogue Fire Protection is no longer a necessary or required entity having
been superseded by the Patchogue Fire District. Thus, this chapter shall be
enacted to effectuate the dissolution of the East Patchogue Fire Protection
District.
This chapter applies solely to the East Patchogue Fire Protection District.
This chapter shall become effective at 12:01 a.m. on January 1, 1999.
