Pursuant to the authority contained in N.J.S.A.
40:9-146 et seq., there shall be appointed an Assessor of the Borough,
subject to the statutory provisions covering tenure.
The Assessor shall perform such duties in relation
to assessment of taxes as are prescribed by law and as the Council
may by ordinance or resolution require.
