A. 
From and after the passage of this chapter, the price for license for moving-picture shows, circuses, theaters, wrestling matches and boxing and sparring bouts at any public hall, opera house or elsewhere within the limits of the Borough of Sayre shall be as follows:
(1) 
Moving-picture shows, the sum of $50 per year, payable in advance.
(2) 
All circuses with a seating capacity of less than 1,500 people, the sum of $10; and all other circuses having a larger capacity than 1,500 people shall pay a license fee of $25 for each and every day.
(3) 
All wrestling matches, the sum of $10; and for all boxing and sparring bouts, the sum of $25 for each and every exhibition.
B. 
Said license fees are to be paid and the license taken out before any exhibition is given.

Any person, firm or corporation who or which shall violate or fail to comply with any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $600 and costs of prosecution and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, be imprisoned for a term not exceeding 30 days.

It shall be the duty of the Chief of Police or members of the Police Department of said borough to stop or close up any moving-picture show, theater, circus, wrestling match or boxing or sparring bout unless the person or persons running or operating the same shall have taken out a license as hereinbefore provided.
