The Town Clerk of the Town of North Branford shall receive a salary
in lieu of all fees and other compensation provided for in the General Statutes,
which salary shall be fixed by the Council.
Upon the adoption of this Article, the fees or compensation provided
by the General Statutes to be paid to the Town Clerk shall be collected by
the Town Clerk, and the Clerk shall deposit all such money collected in accordance
with the directives of the Town Manager.

The Town of North Branford hereby provides that the Registrars of Voters
shall perform the duties as included in Title 9 of the Connecticut General
Statutes.
A. The Town of North Branford hereby provides for the method
of compensation of said Registrars of Voters as required by Sections 9-6,
9-55a, 9-194, 9-195 and 9-441 of the Connecticut General Statutes.
B. Each Registrar shall be paid an annual salary in monthly
installments, as approved in the Annual Town Budget, which will compensate
said Registrar for all duties, hours worked and conferences attended of the
position of Registrar, except:
(1) Hours worked on a general election day at the polls.
Said hours shall be compensated at the prevailing hourly rate for Registrars.
(2) Hours worked in connection with any special election,
referendum or primary. Said hours shall be compensated at the hourly rate
for Registrars, as determined by the Annual Town Budget. Such additional work
shall be adequately described when submitted for payment and would not have
been necessary if there had not been a special election, referendum or primary.
(3) Attendance at the annual fall and spring conferences
of the Registrar of Voters Association of Connecticut (ROVAC). Said attendance
shall be compensated at the prevailing daily rate, in accordance with the
General Statutes, if the Registrar documents attendance at such conference.
(4) Registrars shall also be reimbursed for
documented out-of-pocket expenses and mileage to approved conferences, in
accordance with state statutes.
