A. 
A County Planning Commission is hereby created for the County of Page, Virginia, in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 22, Article 2, § 15.2-2212, of the Code of Virginia. Said Commission shall consist of 10 members. The members shall be residents of the County and freeholders qualified by knowledge and experience to make decisions on questions of community growth and development.
B. 
The 10 appointed members, two from each election district, shall be appointed for terms of four years.
Any vacancy in membership shall be filled by appointment by the Board of Supervisors, and such appointment shall be for the unexpired term. Any appointed member may be removed by the Board of Supervisors for inefficiency, provided that such removal may be made only after a public hearing at which said member is given an opportunity to appear and be heard on the charges against him.
The County Planning Commission shall have the functions, power and duties which are prescribed by law. For state law as to duties of Planning Commissions, see § 15.1-444[1] of the Code of Virginia.[2]
