A. 
Reports of violation. The duties of this Town Board shall be to receive and pass upon reports from the Code Enforcement Officer of alleged violations of this chapter, to hold appropriate hearings on such violations, and to issue appropriate order or orders for the abatement of such violation.
B. 
Notice; hearing; order. The Town Board is hereby authorized to summon for appearance, on not less than 10 days' notice, the person responsible for any premises in which the Code Enforcement Officer reports violation of the provisions of this chapter, to show cause why such violation should not be abated and to issue such order or orders as may be necessary to cause the abatement of such violation.
C. 
Noncompliance with order; procedure. In the event that such order of the Town Board is not satisfactorily complied with, within the specified time allowed by such order, subject to any extensions of time granted as hereinafter provided, it shall be the duty of the Town Attorney to institute proceedings for the abatement of such violation and for the punishment therefor.
D. 
Records. Proper records of the proceedings of the Town Board shall be maintained by the Town Board.
A. 
Grounds. The Town Board is hereby authorized to grant to any person a temporary permit for the continued operation of noncomplying fuel-burning equipment, upon due application, hearing, and proof that the provisions of this chapter can not be promptly complied with, and that alterations or additions to such fuel-burning equipment, necessary for the elimination of dense smoke, are in process of being provided.
B. 
Extensions. Such temporary permit may be granted for a period of not more than six months, and such period may be extended for cause, for not more than three months at any time.
No person shall in any manner hinder, obstruct, delay, resist, prevent or in any way interfere with, or attempt to interfere with, the Code Enforcement Officer in the performance of any of his duties, nor shall any person refuse to allow the Code Enforcement Officer or any member of the Town Board the right to inspect any premises at all reasonable hours for the purpose of enforcing provisions of this chapter.
