The Doña Ana County All Hazard Mitigation Team, comprised of members representing Doña Ana County, City of Anthony, Elephant Butte Irrigation District, Village of Hatch, City of Las Cruces, Town of Mesilla, New Mexico State University, and City of Sunland Park, New Mexico, has prepared a mitigation plan identifying the natural and technological hazards faced by the County and participating communities. Adoption of the All Hazard Mitigation Plan is necessary for the purpose of continuing eligibility to receive federal assistance from the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief Act (Hazards Mitigation Grant Program, Pre-Disaster Mitigation Program, and Flood Mitigation Assistance Program). A copy of the All Hazard Mitigation Plan may be viewed in the office of the Doña Ana County Flood Commission.
The Board of County Commissioners hereby adopts the Doña Ana County, City of Anthony, Elephant Butte Irrigation District, Village of Hatch, City of Las Cruces, Town of Mesilla, New Mexico State University, and City of Sunland Park, New Mexico, All Hazard Mitigation Plan, and delegates signature authority on future All Hazard Mitigation Plan revisions to the Chairperson of the Board of County Commissioners, or his or her designee.
