Talbot County is divided into five election districts, as provided by Chapter 115 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1798, Chapter 48 of the Acts of 1799, Chapter 50 of the Acts of 1799, Chapter 258 of the Acts of 1852 and Chapter 572 of the Acts of 1892.
