Editor's Note: This ordinance was originally adopted as Art. V, Speed Limits, §§ 130-15 through 130-17 of former Ch. 130, Vehicles and Traffic, which was repealed 9-3-1980 by Ord. No. 22-80. Original Section 2 of Ord. No. 22-80 specifically saved Ord. No. 269 from repeal. See Part 1 of this chapter.
A. 
The speed limits for both directions of traffic along the hereinafter specified roads and streets in the Township of Jefferson shall be designated and established as follows:
(1) 
Legion Road (formerly called Ballfield Road): 35 miles per hour.
(2) 
Berkshire Valley Road from the westerly Jefferson Township line to New Jersey Route 15: 35 miles per hour.

(3) 
Brady Road (sometimes called Brady Park Road) from Espanong Road to Prospect Point Road: 35 miles per hour.

(4) 
Chamberlain Road, its entire length: 35 miles per hour.
(5) 
Cozy Lake Road.

(a) 
From Berkshire Valley Road to the center of Cross Road: 35 miles per hours; thence
(b) 
To the northerly Jefferson Township line: 45 miles per hour.
(6) 
Dover Milton Road.

(a) 
Dover-Milton Road from Weldon Road (formerly called Ford Mine Road) to Milton Road, and then along Milton Road for its length in the Township of Jefferson: 35 miles per hour.
(b) 
Dover-Milton Road from a point of the intersection of Milton Road to 500 feet south of Wayfair Lane: 30 miles per hour; and then from a point of 500 feet south of Wayfair Lane to the intersection of Berkshire Valley Road: 35 miles per hour.
(7) 
East Shawnee Trail.
(a) 
From Shawnee Trail and West Shawnee Trail to the center of Ridge Terrace: 25 miles per hour; thence
(b) 
To West Shawnee Trail: 30 miles per hour.
(8) 
Espanong Road from Ripplewood Drive to Route 181: 35 miles per hour.

East Shore Road (formerly called Lakeview Drive, McNabb Road, Cherry Road) along its length in the Township of Jefferson: 30 miles per hour.

Prospect Point Road (formerly called Woodport Road or Jefferson Turnpike).
(a) 
From Brady Road to the center of Northwood Road: 30 miles per hour; thence
(b) 
To New Jersey Route 15: 35 miles per hour.
(12) 
Ridge Road (formerly called Sparta Road).

From the Jefferson Township - Sparta Township corporate line and 500 feet west of Hoover Road: 45 miles per hour; thence
(b)

(c) 
From 750 feet west of Schoolhouse Road to Berkshire Valley Road: 35 miles per hour.
(13) 
Schoolhouse Road.

(16) 
Yacht Club Drive (formerly North Ripple Wood Drive, Vans Place) from State Highway Route 181 to State Highway Route 181: 25 miles per hour.

Zone 3: 40 miles per hour; from the point 2,800 feet north of Wegmann Way to the Jefferson Township/Hardyston Township corporate line.
(18) 
Russia Road: 40 miles per hour from Weldon Road to a point 2,400 feet south of the center of Ridge Road and 35 miles per hour from a point 2,400 feet south of the center of Ridge Road to Ridge Road.

Taylor Road: From the intersection of State Highway #15 North to the intersection of Berkshire Valley Road: 25 miles per hour.
