It is the duty of all Village police officers to arrest any person detected in violation of any the provisions of this chapter.

Duly authorized Village police officers may stop and inspect any snowmobile at any time for the purpose of determining if the provisions of this chapter are being complied with. If the inspecting officer discovers any violation of the provisions of this chapter, he may issue a summons to the operator of such snowmobile requiring that the operator appear before the Circuit Court for the county in which the offense was committed. Every snowmobile subject to this chapter if underway and upon being hailed by a designated law enforcement officer must stop immediately. Snowmobiles involved in accidents or in violation of the provisions of this chapter or of the Snowmobile Registration and Safety Act may be impounded in accordance with 625 ILCS 40/2-2.

It is unlawful for any person to resist or obstruct any peace officer in the discharge of his duties under this chapter.
Any person found guilty of violating the provisions of this chapter shall be punished as provided in 625 ILCS 40/10-1.
