Village of Williamsville, IL Chapter 19 EMERGENCY OPERATIONS

Article I Conrey Street Railroad Crossing

§ 19-1 Closing of crossing.

The Conrey Street railroad crossing will be closed except for use by emergency vehicles responding to an existing emergency situation and the Main Street railroad crossing is closed, blocked by a derailed train or blocked by a train for a period in excess of 30 minutes.

§ 19-2 Authority to unlock crossing.

A. The barricades at the Conrey Street railroad crossing will remain locked with a key to said lock supplied to the following individuals and agencies:

(1) The President of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Williamsville, Illinois.

(2) The President Pro Tem of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Williamsville, Illinois.

(3) The Williamsville Police Department.

(4) The Williamsville Fire Department.

B. Only the aforementioned individuals or agencies are authorized to open the Conrey Street crossing for the emergency vehicles in an existing emergency situation.

§ 19-3 Penalties.

Violation of the provisions of this chapter may result in the loss of the privileges provided for herein and/or may be grounds for termination of a Village employee.
