This chapter shall be known as and may be cited as the "Zoning Ordinance for the Village of Williamsville, Illinois."
A. 
To promote and protect the public health, safety, morals, comfort, convenience, and general welfare of the people.
B. 
To conserve the value of land and buildings within the corporate limits of Williamsville.
C. 
To zone all properties within the corporate limits of Williamsville in such a manner as to reflect the best use and to enhance their value.
D. 
To protect residential, business, and manufacturing uses alike from harmful encroachment by incompatible uses and to ensure that land allocated to a class of uses shall not be usurped by other inappropriate uses.
E. 
To fix reasonable zoning standards to which buildings and structures shall conform.
F. 
To encourage a more rational pattern of relationships between residential, business, and manufacturing uses for the mutual benefit of all.
G. 
To isolate or control the location of unavoidable nuisance producing uses.
H. 
To provide protection against fire, explosion, noxious fumes, and other hazards in the interest of the public health, safety, comfort, and general welfare.
I. 
To define the powers and duties of the administrative bodies as provided hereinafter.
J. 
To prescribe penalties for the violation of the provisions of this chapter or any amendments thereto.
