[Adopted 6-25-1963 (Ch. 177, Art. III, of the 1974 Code)]
There is hereby created the office of Sanitary Inspector for the Board of Health.
The Sanitary Inspector shall be duly licensed and shall qualify in accordance with the statutes of the State of New Jersey in such case made and provided.
The Sanitary Inspector shall be the general agent of the Board for the enforcement of its ordinances and the sanitary laws of the state. The Sanitary Inspector shall make all inspections as may be required for the proper performance of his office, except plumbing inspections, and shall perform such other duties as may be fixed by the Board.
A. 
The office shall be a part-time office, and appointments to the office shall be for a period of three years, such term to begin on the January 1 following appointment.
B. 
The incumbent shall receive compensation as provided in the annual Salary Ordinance adopted by the Board of Health.[1]
