No person shall resist, obstruct or interfere with any peace officer while in the lawful performance of duty nor shall any person disobey the lawful and reasonable order or instruction of any such officer. "Peace officer," as included in this section, shall be as defined in N.J.S.A. 2A:154-1 et seq.
Except as provided herein, violations of this article shall be punishable as provided in Chapter 1, Article III, General Penalty.
