As used in this article, the following terms
shall have the meanings indicated:
HORSE
Includes a mare, gelding, stallion, pony, donkey or mule.
It shall be unlawful for any person or any employees
of such person to permit or allow upon any highway, street, park or
any other public place within the Village any horse without a rider
or attendant. The finding of such riderless or unattended horse shall
be presumptive evidence of the violation of this article by the owner
thereof.

No person shall ride horseback upon any public
highway, street or other public place within the Village from 1/2
hour after sunset to 1/2 hour before sunrise.
No person shall ride a horse upon any highway,
street or other public place in the Village at any pace other than
a walk. Trotting, galloping or cantering is expressly forbidden and
prohibited.
No person shall ride or lead a horse upon any
sidewalk or footpath adjacent to a public highway or across any private
property or in any public park, stadium or public place other than
a roadway.
