All food establishments and dealers in food supplies must provide a
covering of such suitable material to protect such foods exposed for sale
from dust, flies, insects, etc., and must keep such food indoors and covered
at all times, except when the covering may be temporarily removed for the
purpose of handling such merchandise for sale.
Provisions of this chapter are in addition to those in the New York
State Sanitary Code.
Except as otherwise provided, any person violating any provision of this chapter shall be liable to a penalty in accordance with Chapter
1, Article
III, General Penalty.
