An annual license fee shall be required of all persons owning, operating,
occupying or maintaining legally existing gasoline stations, pumps or apparatus
and motor vehicle repair shops, which shall cease and terminate on the 31st
day of May and shall be renewed annually thereafter within 30 days prior to
the expiration date thereof. Said license fee shall be as set by the Board
of Trustees by resolution of a majority vote of its members present at a Board
meeting.
The installation of what are commonly known as "curb pumps" for the
pumping of gasoline upon or near the curbs of public streets or places is
hereafter forbidden.
It shall not be lawful for any person doing business within the Village
to maintain a station where the depression of or removal of the curbing for
the entrance of cars upon the premises shall exceed 20 feet in width, and
no such depression or removal of curbing shall be permitted with greater frequency
than one such depression or removal of curbing for every 50 lineal feet of
curbing in front of said premises, except that in cases where a permit is
sought for a station having a frontage of 50 lineal feet or less, the Board
of Trustees may grant a permit to suit the particular circumstances.

Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall be liable to a penalty set in accordance with Chapter
1, Article
III, General Penalty.
