This chapter shall be known and may be cited
as the "Village of Central Square Amusement Center Law."
The purpose of this chapter is to promote the
public health, safety, morals, comfort and general welfare of the
citizens of the Village of Central Square by licensing and regulating
the manner of operation of amusement centers and places of amusement,
as herein defined, within the Village of Central Square.
For the purposes of this chapter, unless the
context or subject matter otherwise requires, the following terms
shall have the following meanings:
AMUSEMENT CENTER
Any indoor place or enclosure which is maintained or operated
for the amusement, patronage or recreation of the public which contains
three or more coin controlled amusement devices (exempting jukeboxes)
of any description, commonly known as bagatelle, baseball, football,
fooseball, pinball, video games, or other similar amusement games.
Any such place open to the public containing three or more such devices
shall be deemed to be an amusement center, whether or not the devices
are contained in a separate room or otherwise, and shall be subject
to all regulations of this chapter.
PROPRIETOR
Includes any person, partnership or corporation owning or
conducting the business of an amusement center or place of amusement
as herein defined.
