No boat propelled by gasoline, steam, sail or any other motor power shall be operated at a greater rate of speed than 40 miles per hour during the period from 1/2 hour before sunrise to 1/2 hour after sunset, nor more than five miles per hour during the period from 1/2 hour after sunset to 1/2 hour before sunrise on Kinderhook Lake within the boundaries of the Town of Chatham.
All operators of boats on Kinderhook Lake shall comply with all New York State boating rules and regulations, except when more restrictive provisions apply pursuant to the terms of this chapter.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a violation and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable by a maximum fine of $250 or by a term of imprisonment of not more than 15 days, or both.
