B. 
Highways: Parking zones. Parking zones are hereby established on highways as follows:
(1) 
Castle Street on the north side between Exchange Street and Main Street, except as otherwise provided in Subsection A herein, and on the south side between Exchange Street and a point 75 feet east of the east building line extended from Geneva City Hall.

Castle Street, East: on both sides between Exchange Street and the Penn Central Railroad crossing.
(3) 
Elm Street: on the east side between Castle Street and Colt Street.
(4) 
Exchange Street: on both sides between Seneca Street and Lewis Street; on the west side between the south building line extended of the Finger Lakes Occupational School and Lewis Street.
(5) 
Exchange Street, South: on both sides between Seneca Street and Linden Street.
(6) 
Genesee Street: on the west side between Colt Street and Castle Street.
(7) 
Lewis Street: on the north side between Exchange Street and the Penn Central Railroad crossing; on the south side between the east line of Hulse Parking Lot and Exchange Street.

C. 
Public parking lots. Parking zones are hereby established in public parking lots as follows:
(1) 
Seneca Street Parking Lot located at Linden Street and Seneca Street.
(2) 
South Exchange Street Parking Lot located on westerly side of South Exchange Street between South Exchange Street and Linden Street.

South Exchange Street Parking Lot: last 10 spots in each of four rows, northern section and southern section.

Castle Street Parking Lot adjacent to City Hall inclusive of four spaces located at the southerly end of said lot immediately adjacent to the National Bank of Geneva property and two spaces located on the westerly side of said lot and immediately adjacent to the City of Geneva Boiler Building.

A. 
Method of parking.
(1) 
Any vehicle parked or standing in any parking space on any City street in any parking meter zone shall be parked with the right-hand wheels of such vehicle parallel to and within 12 inches of the right-hand curb.
(2) 
In any parking meter zone or parking zone, it shall be unlawful and an offense to park any vehicle in a space not specifically designated a legal parking space either by meters, official signs or pavement markings.

A. 
Enforcement procedures.
(1) 
It shall be the duty of each traffic officer, or such other officer as shall be instructed by the Chief of Police, to take the number of any meter at which any vehicle is parked in violation of this article and the registration number of such vehicle and report the same to the Police Department, together with the length of time during which said vehicle has remained in violation of any of the provisions of this article, as well as other facts, a knowledge of which is necessary to an understanding of the circumstances attending such violation.
(2) 
In parking zones described in this article, it shall be the duty of such traffic officer or such individual or individuals as shall be authorized and instructed by the Chief of Police to mark by any suitable device the tire of any vehicle parked in violation of this article, to take the registration number, report the same to the Police Department together with the length of time in which the vehicle has remained in violation of any of the provisions of this article, as well as other facts, a knowledge of which is necessary to an understanding of the circumstances attending such violation.
(3) 
Each such officer shall also attach to such vehicle a notice stating that such vehicle has been parked or has remained in such place in violation of a provision of this article and instructing the owner or operator of such vehicle to report to the City Comptroller's office in regard to such violation.
(4) 
Each such operator or owner may within one week of the time when such notice was attached to such vehicle pay to the City Comptroller as a penalty for and in full satisfaction of such violation, an amount equivalent to $10 multiplied by the number of periods of parking time established as a legal limit for such parking space, and during which said vehicle occupied such parking space in violation of any of the provisions of this article. After expiration of 15 days from time such notice was attached to the vehicle the penalty shall be increased to $20 multiplied by the number of said periods and after expiration of 30 days from time when such notice was attached to such vehicle the penalties shall be increased to $30 multiplied by the number of said periods.

(5) 
The failure of such owner or operator to make such payment or payments as aforesaid shall render such owner subject to the penalties as hereinafter provided.
(6) 
It shall be presumed that any vehicle parked in violation of any provision of this article was parked with the permission of the owner.
B. 
Penalties upon conviction. Upon conviction of any person of a violation of any provision of this article, a fine not exceeding $50 or imprisonment not exceeding 15 days or both shall be imposed for each violation.
