By authority of resolution by the Village Board
of Trustees adopted pursuant to the provisions of § 7-728
of the Village Law, as amended, the Planning Board is vested with
the power and authority to approve plats for subdivisions within the
incorporated area of the Village.
The purpose of these regulations shall be to
provide rules, regulations and standards to guide land subdivision
in the Village of Fairport in order to promote the public health,
safety, convenience and general welfare of the Village. It shall be
administered to ensure the orderly growth and development, the conservation,
protection and proper use of land and adequate provision for circulation,
utilities and services, and to ensure that land utilized for building
purposes shall be without danger to health or peril from fire, flood
or other menace, and that provision is made for adequate light and
air, fire protection, recreation areas and other amenities.
