The Borough Solicitor shall receive an annual retainer in such amounts as Council shall, from time to time, prescribe, to be payable monthly. Said retainer shall be paid in full compensation for attendance at no more than 12 meetings per year; correspondence; telephone consultations and advice; drafting ordinances and resolutions; office conferences on routine matters; general, routine advice and services. Extra charges shall be made for all other items of work, including but not limited to formal written opinions; drafting contracts, leases and deeds; real estate and title work; bond issues; proceedings to adopt, change, widen or vacate streets or alleys; condemnation proceedings; commencement, prosecution and defense of any legal or administrative proceedings brought for or against the municipality, authority, or any of its members, officers or employees in their capacity; attendance at more than 12 meetings per year; and any other unusual or extraordinary services for which the Solicitor shall receive an amount as shall be reasonable under the circumstances and in accordance with customary charges for same in this locale.
