No person shall connect any residential or nonresidential
facility to the Borough of Catasauqua's public water supply system
without first obtaining a permit for the same.
A permit for connection to the Borough of Catasauqua's
water supply system shall require that the person applying for the
same certify in writing that the materials used in the construction
of the plumbing system to be connected are lead free.

Any connection to the Catasauqua public water
system without a permit shall constitute a violation of this article
with a fine of up to $1,000 and/or 90 days in jail. Any person found
guilty of violating an ordinance shall be assessed court costs and
reasonable attorneys’ fees incurred by the Borough in the enforcement
proceedings.
Any person making a false statement or false
certification on the said permit application shall constitute a violation
of this article and shall subject the violator to a fine of up to
$1,000 and/or 90 days' imprisonment.
Each day that the party is in violation of this
article shall constitute a separate and distinct offense.
Whenever the requirements of this article are
in conflict with other requirements of the codified ordinances of
the Borough of Catasauqua, the most restrictive, or those imposing
the higher standards, shall govern.
