[Amended 5-12-1992 by Ord. No. 133-1992]
The members of the Board of Supervisors and the employees of East Bradford
Township shall be entitled to the payment of a mileage fee for the use of
personal automobiles while on township business. The amount of the fee shall
be the maximum mileage reimbursement allowed by the Internal Revenue Service
(IRS) of the United States Government, as said allowance may be changed, from
time to time, by the IRS. The Township Manager is authorized to promulgate
reasonable rules and regulations for the administration of the mileage fee
reimbursements.
Any Supervisor seeking reimbursement pursuant to this chapter shall
submit to the Township Secretary a detailed request therefor, including the
date, number of miles, destination and purpose of each trip. This request
shall be submitted at the next meeting of the Board of Supervisors following
the month in which the use of the vehicle was made. Payment for the expenses
shall, at that time, be approved; and payment shall be made at the next regular
meeting of the Board of Supervisors.
The Township Secretary shall maintain separate and complete records
with regard to all requests for reimbursements submitted pursuant to this
chapter.
