The members of the Board of Supervisors and the employees of East Bradford Township shall be entitled to the payment of a mileage fee for the use of personal automobiles while on township business. The amount of the fee shall be the maximum mileage reimbursement allowed by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) of the United States Government, as said allowance may be changed, from time to time, by the IRS. The Township Manager is authorized to promulgate reasonable rules and regulations for the administration of the mileage fee reimbursements.
Any Supervisor seeking reimbursement pursuant to this chapter shall submit to the Township Secretary a detailed request therefor, including the date, number of miles, destination and purpose of each trip. This request shall be submitted at the next meeting of the Board of Supervisors following the month in which the use of the vehicle was made. Payment for the expenses shall, at that time, be approved; and payment shall be made at the next regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors.
The Township Secretary shall maintain separate and complete records with regard to all requests for reimbursements submitted pursuant to this chapter.
