Compensation and expenses. For the performance of his/her duties for the Township, the Treasurer shall be paid $26,000 per annum, which shall be paid to him/her in the form of annual compensation in 12 equal monthly payments. In addition, the Township shall pay such actual printing and postage expenses as shall be incurred by the Treasurer in the performance of his/her duties as Treasurer. The Township shall also provide adequate office space and equipment for the performance of these duties by the Treasurer. The Treasurer shall receive no compensation or commission on money borrowed by the Township either as a temporary loan or loans in anticipation of taxes levied and to be collected during the then current fiscal year or on bonds issued. The Treasurer shall receive no other compensation of any kind from the Township for the collection or receipt of Township moneys or for the performance of duties of his/her office as Treasurer, provided that nothing herein shall in any way affect his/her right to commissions or compensation for the collection of state, county and school district taxes. Nothing in this section shall be construed as to prohibit the Treasurer from collecting fees charged for tax certifications of the payment of Township real estate taxes as permitted by Ordinance No. 93-22, as enacted by the Board of Commissioners on December 7, 1993.[1]
