The purpose of this article is to provide by local law the establishment of a fee to be charged for the processing, handling, investigating of various permits, applications for permits and applications for services.

Each request for a background investigation by individuals shall be made in the appropriate form to be provided by the Chief of Police. Each such written request shall be accompanied by a fee as set forth by resolution of the Village Board of Trustees in the Master Fee Schedule, which may be amended from time to time.

A. 
Each request for the Police Department to take fingerprints of individuals requesting the same shall be made in writing. Each such written application shall be accompanied by a fee as set forth by resolution of the Village Board of Trustees in the Master Fee Schedule, which may be amended from time to time.
B. 
Exceptions. Persons 16 years old and younger and applicants for peddler permits shall not be charged a fee for fingerprinting.
