There shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject
to approval by the Village Board of Trustees, a Plumbing Inspector,
whose duties shall be to inspect the construction and alteration of
all plumbing work and sewer connections performed in the Village and
to report, in writing, the results of such inspections to the Building
Inspector. He or she shall report plumbing work to the Building Inspector
and shall also perform such other duties as may be assigned to him
or her by the Village Board of Trustees. It shall be the duty of the
Plumbing Inspector to make all inspections required under this chapter
promptly.
It shall be his duty to examine the plans and
specifications submitted for approval, to see that they conform with
all the requirements of the Codes of the State of New York and to
examine all plumbing, both in new work and alterations. All work done
under the provisions of this chapter and the materials used in such
work shall be subject to the approval of the Plumbing Inspector.
Before any work of plumbing or drainage shall
be commenced in any building, or on any property, plans and specifications
shall be filed with the Plumbing Inspector, and a permit must be obtained
from the Building Inspector on payment of the required fee, as set
forth by resolution of the Village Board of Trustees in the Master
Fee Schedule, which may be amended.
