General requirements. All manufactured housing parks
shall be provided with an electrical system so designed as to supply the connected
load without exceeding the current carrying capacity of the conductors. It
must meet village specifications and pass its inspection.
Distribution lines. Main distribution lines shall be
located underground. They shall be buried according to state specifications
(at present 36 inches for electric, 24 inches for telephone and 18 inches
for television cable, minimum). The location of said lines shall be properly
marked as required by law for the safety of manufactured home residents and
the general public.
Outside outlet receptacles at each manufactured home
stand shall be of the polarized type with grounding conductors and shall be
of weatherproof construction.
General requirements. The manufactured housing park shall
be provided with facilities for the safe storage of required fuels. All systems
shall be installed and maintained in accordance with applicable codes and
regulations governing such systems. Regulations specified by the National
Board of Fire Underwriters shall be complied with, and the installation shall
be approved by the local fire protection authority.
Natural gas system. Each manufactured home lot provided
with piped gas shall have an approved manual shutoff valve. The gas outlet
shall be equipped with a cap to prevent accidental discharge of gas when the
outlet is not in use.
Liquified petroleum gas system. Liquid petroleum gas
(LPG) systems shall be provided with safety devices to relieve excessive pressures
and shall have at least one accessible gas shutoff valve located outside the
manufactured home. LPG containers installed and secured to a manufactured
home shall be securely fastened to prevent accidental overturning and shall
not exceed 60 gallons' capacity. LPG containers over 60 gallons'
capacity may be installed on a manufactured home lot meeting the requirements
as to location and installation by the National Board of Fire Underwriters.
No LPG vessels shall be stored or located inside or beneath any manufactured
home, carport or any other structure, unless such installation is specifically
approved by the local fire protection authority.
Fuel oil systems. All fuel oil storage tanks shall be securely supported and fastened in place, shall be equipped with permanently installed and secured piping and shall not exceed 275 gallons' capacity. Fuel oil storage tank installations are not to be located in the setback spaces specified in § 127-23C and shall be screened from public view.
The storage, collection and disposal of solid waste in
the manufactured housing park shall be so conducted and maintained as to create
no health hazards, rodent harborage, insect breeding areas, accident or fire
hazards or air pollution.
If group solid waste storage areas are provided for park
occupants, they shall be enclosed or otherwise screened from public view and
shall be rodent-, child- and animalproof and located not more than 150 feet
from any manufactured home lot they are to serve. Containers shall be provided
in sufficient number to properly store all solid waste produced and must be
approved by the Village Board. At the direction of the Village Board, the
location of any such area shall be moved to another location if such area
is creating obnoxious, dangerous, unhealthy or unsightly conditions.
Any solid waste containers stored on individual manufactured
housing lots shall be screened from public view and shall be rodent-, child-,
and animalproof.
Disposal of solid waste by burning, or any open burning,
except for food prepared on outdoor grills or fireplaces designed for such
use, is expressly prohibited.
