As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings
indicated:
CONSUMER
One who attends the public market to purchase that which is offered
for sale.
MARKET POSITION
A space outlined and numbered to which a producer is assigned by
the Supervisor.
PRODUCER
One who offers for sale that which he produces on his own farm or
premises.
PUBLIC MARKET
A location designated by the Common Council where a producer may
offer produce for sale.
SUPERVISOR
One who is appointed to supervise and conduct the public market.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon
conviction, be punished by a fine not exceeding $10, and, if such person be
a producer, shall, in addition, forfeit his market position and shall be suspended
from offering any articles for sale at such public market for a period of
three marketing days.
