Where the Planning Board finds that the most desirable use of property proposed for subdivision will not be achieved as a result of strict compliance with these regulations, the Planning Board may waive the pertinent regulations to serve the public interest. Such waiver shall not have the effect of nullifying the intent or purpose of the Comprehensive Plan, Chapter
250, Zoning and Planned Unit Development, the Official Map or these regulations.
On granting waivers, the Planning Board may
require such conditions as will, in its judgment, substantially secure
the objectives of the standards or requirements so modified.
