Beginning with the meeting of Borough Council on the first
Monday of January 2000, each Councilperson of the Borough of Greencastle,
beginning a new term of office, shall be paid compensation as a Councilperson
the sum of $75 for each regular meeting of the Borough Council which they
attend. Councilpersons shall receive no compensation for attendance at special
meetings of Council and, further, shall receive no compensation at all if
they miss the regularly scheduled monthly meeting of Borough Council.
The compensation provided in § 43-2, supra, shall be paid monthly in the month following the calendar month for which such compensation is due and payable.
The President of Borough Council shall be compensated at the rate of $100 per month subject to the same attendance requirements as previously set forth in § 43-2, supra.
An amount sufficient to pay the compensation herein provided shall be
included and appropriated annually in the budget of the Borough.
