This article is enacted pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 23A, Intergovernmental Cooperation Code, 53 Pa.C.S.A. § 2301 et seq.

This Township hereby approves entering into the Revised Master Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement 800 MHz Project, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and which shall be filed with the minutes of the meeting at which this article was enacted (with the intent and effect that this Township shall be bounded by the Revised Master Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement 800 MHz Project to provide a countywide communication system with the county providing a portion of the cost to implement the 800 MHz system subject to the terms of this agreement).

The President or Vice President of the Board, acting alone or together with the Secretary or Assistant Secretary, are hereby authorized and directed on behalf of the Township to execute and deliver the 800 MHz Project Agreement and to execute and deliver such additional instruments, to take such further actions as necessary and appropriate to carry forth the Revised Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement 800 MHz Project and the activities to be effected under the agreement.
Elections of any officer, agent or other representatives of the Township heretofore taken with respect to the agreement and/or the Township's participation therein are hereby ratified and approved in all respects.
The Board of the Township is hereby authorized to take such other actions as may be necessary or appropriate to carry out the purposes of this article and of the agreement to the extent permitted by law.
As required by the Pennsylvania Governmental Cooperation Law, the following matters are specifically found and determined:

The term of the agreement shall commence upon the execution hereof and will extend for a period of two years from that date; and
C.
The manner and extent of financing the agreement are that no borrowing will be required by the Township and funds to implement the Township's obligations under the agreement shall come from normal and usual budget amounts for such matters with the county making available a portion of the costs to the Township to implement the 800 MHz system subject to the terms of this agreement.
