It is unlawful to park or allow to be parked
any motor vehicle or other vehicle, on any street or road maintained
or plowed by the Township, two hours after the start of continuous
snowfall and until the snow has been completely plowed for the full
width of the roadway for that particular snowstorm.
Any member of the Lower Frederick Township Police Department is hereby authorized to remove or cause to be removed, by an authorized towing company, any vehicle abandoned or parked upon any public highway or street in violation of §
158-33. The registered owner of any said vehicle shall be promptly notified of the fact of the removal and of the place to which said vehicle has been removed, where arrangements can be made with the facility owner for recovery.
Any person who violates or permits a violation
of this article shall, upon conviction in a summary proceeding brought
before a District Justice under the Pennsylvania Rules of Criminal
Procedure, be guilty of a summary offense and shall be punishable
by a fine of not more than $1,000, plus costs of prosecution. In default
of payment thereof, the defendant may be sentenced to imprisonment
for a term not exceeding 30 days. Each day or portion thereof that
such violation continues or is permitted to continue shall constitute
a separate offense, and each section of this article that is violated
shall constitute a separate offense.
