The Township Committee may from time to time amend, supplement, change, modify or repeal this chapter, including the Zoning Map, by ordinance and by proceeding in the manner prescribed in this article.
The Township Committee, by resolution adopted at a stated or special meeting, shall fix the time and place of a public hearing on the proposed change, amendment or repeal and cause notice thereof to be given as described in Article I, § 141-8, herein.
Such regulations, limitations and restrictions may be amended, changed, modified or repealed, and the boundaries of such districts may be changed, by ordinance, but an amendment or change shall first have been submitted to the Planning Board for approval, disapproval or suggestions, and the Planning Board shall have a reasonable time, not less than 65 days, for consideration and report, and, in the case of an unfavorable report by the Planning Board, such amendment shall not become effective except by a favorable vote of 2/3 of the Township Committee.
