The boat ramp and floating docks at the foot
of Derousse Avenue are to be used for the launching and docking of
boats or watercraft only.
To maintain the safety of all the people, including
the boaters using the boat ramp, no one will be allowed to use the
boat ramp or the floating docks to enter the river for swimming and/or
fishing purposes.
Any person violating this article shall, upon
conviction, be subject to one or more of the following: a fine not
exceeding $1,250 or imprisonment in the county jail for a term not
exceeding 90 days or a period of community service not exceeding 90
days, in the discretion of the Municipal Court Judge.
