It shall be unlawful for any person to keep, maintain or operate any
pool or billiard parlor without first having obtained a license or permit
from the Permit Clerk of the Township of Pennsauken so to do as provided herein;
provided, however, that coin-operated pool tables installed and maintained
as an accessory amusement device in a premises other than a pool or billiard
parlor shall be licensed as a coin-controlled amusement device as otherwise
regulated by a Township ordinance.
The Permit Clerk is hereby authorized to issue a license or permit to
keep, maintain or operate a pool or billiard parlor after approval thereof
shall be given in writing by the Chief of Police and upon payment of $50 for
any number of tables not exceeding three and an additional $10 for each and
every table in excess of three.
Every such license or permit shall be for the calendar year and shall
expire on December 31 of the year for which issued, unless sooner revoked,
and shall not be transferable.
Every such poolroom or billiard parlor shall be subject to the ordinances
of the Township of Pennsauken and all proper police regulations at all times,
and the violation of any Township ordinance or proper police regulation shall,
in addition to the penalty therein provided, be sufficient cause for the immediate
revocation of the license for such poolroom or billiard parlor by the Chief
of Police.

Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction,
be subject to one or more of the following: a fine not exceeding $1,250 or
imprisonment in the county jail for a term not exceeding 90 days, or a period
of community service not exceeding 90 days, in the discretion of the Municipal
Court Judge.
