There is hereby established the office of Municipal
Court Administrator of the Municipal Court of the Borough of Seaside
Heights.
The Court Administrator shall be appointed by
the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Borough Council. Said
Court Administrator shall serve for a term of three years from the
date of appointment, commencing January 17 of the year of appointment
and ending December 31 of the third year, or until a successor is
appointed and qualified. A vacancy in the office of Court Administrator,
other than due to expiration of term, shall be filled by appointment
for the unexpired term.
A person shall be certified as a Municipal Court
Administrator if he satisfies the requirements of N.J.S.A. 2B:12-1.
Under direction, in a Municipal Court, the Municipal
Court Administrator shall supervise and/or perform the specialized
clerical work requiring a thorough knowledge of the laws, ordinances,
rules, regulations and procedures relating to the operations of the
Municipal Court. The Municipal Court Administrator may also serve
as the Violations Clerk and do other related work as prescribed by
law, by the rules applicable to municipal courts and by the Municipal
Court Judge.
