There is hereby established the office of Lieutenant
of Police for the Borough of Seaside Heights.
The duties of said office shall be to be an
assistant to the Chief of Police and Captain of Police and to perform
as the active executive officer of the Police Department of this Borough
during the absence or inability of both the Chief of Police and Captain
of Police to perform their respective duties, and to perform such
duties as are assigned by a superior officer.
