There is hereby created the Office of Municipal
Engineer.
The Municipal Engineer shall be appointed by
the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Borough Council. Additional
municipal engineers may be appointed on a project-by-project basis
or on any other basis determined to be in the best interest of the
Borough.
The term of each Municipal Engineer shall be
one year from January 1 of the year of such appointment.
The Municipal Engineer, and any and all specially
appointed municipal engineers, shall perform such duties as are assigned
from time to time by the Mayor or Council.
The Municipal Engineer shall be compensated
as fixed by contract.
