The purpose of this article is to provide a
means of regulating the use of water when, in the opinion of the Tuckerton
Borough Council, a serious problem exists as to the adequacy of water
supply and pressure within the Borough of Tuckerton.
In the event of such a situation, the Borough
Council may, by resolution, enact regulations over the use of water
in Tuckerton Borough, restricting use to essential purposes only,
which, for the purposes of this article, shall be defined as cooking
and sanitary needs. The Borough may prohibit the use of nonessential
uses, which, for the purposes of this article, shall include but not
be limited to the filling of swimming pools, the washing of automobiles,
the watering of gardens and lawns and the use of water in general
outdoor maintenance.
The penalty provisions contained herein shall
not be effective until notice of such resolution is published in one
of the Tuckerton Borough official newspapers.
