Solid waste — See Ch. 148.
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings
indicated:
Irradiated nuclear reactor fuel.
Liquid waste from operation of the first cycle solvent extraction system
and the concentrated waste from subsequent extraction cycles or their equivalent
in a facility for reprocessing irradiated reactor fuel.
Solids into which such wastes have been converted.[1]
No person may transport within Kent County any high-level nuclear wastes
without giving twenty-four (24) hours' notice to the Sheriff and the
Director of Emergency Management.
Any person violating the provisions of this chapter is subject to a
fine of not less than one hundred dollars ($100.) nor more than one thousand
($1,000.00) dollars or imprisonment of not more than six (6) months, or both
such fine and imprisonment.
