It is the intent of this article to prohibit an activity within
the Borough of Ridley Park which is believed by the Borough Council
to be unreasonably dangerous to the health, safety and general welfare
of the inhabitants of the Borough.
As used in this article, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
SELF-SERVICE GASOLINE PUMP
Any gasoline-pumping device which is designed for operation
by or which is in fact operated by a gasoline customer rather than
by an authorized gasoline pump attendant.
It shall be unlawful for any person, including partnerships,
corporations or other legal entities, to install, maintain or operate
or to allow to be installed, maintained or operated on its property
a self-service gasoline pump within the Borough of Ridley Park.

Any person who violates the provisions of this article shall,
upon conviction hereof in a summary proceeding, be sentenced to pay
a fine of not less than $100 nor more than $600 and, in lieu of payment
thereof, to imprisonment for a period not to exceed 30 days.
