Editor's Note: This ordinance also repealed former Art. III,
Police Department Reports, adopted 9-26-1979 as Sec. 2-7 of the 1979
Code, as amended in its entirety 3-8-1999 by Ord. No. 30-1999.
All copies
of fire, police, detective and ambulance reports, except for motor
vehicle accident reports as provided in Pennsylvania Vehicle Code,
Title 75, Section 3751, Reports by Police, Section (B)(2), which shall
remain $15, provided by the City of Scranton Police Department and
the City of Scranton Fire Department shall be furnished for a fee
of $25 per report, except that any person requesting a report who
is the victim of a crime and who is obtaining a copy of the report
shall be exempt from paying the twenty-five-dollar fee for the report.
All fees
received by the City for each report shall be deposited into a special
City interest-bearing account to be established by the Business Administrator.
The funds in this account shall be solely used by the City for the
purpose of purchasing police vehicles, and if there are a sufficient
number of police vehicles, then to purchase equipment necessary for
police officers.
